CNEEC completes demolition of first turbine wheel at Kyrgyzstan's Üch-Korgon hydro power plant

China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, recently concluded the demolition of the fourth turbine wheel at the Üch-Korgon Hydro Power Plant in Kyrgyzstan, marking a significant milestone in the development of the nation's energy sector. The swift completion of this task, two weeks ahead of schedule, has garnered praise from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy, project owner, and relevant government bodies, as reported by local mainstream media.

Situated in southwest Kyrgyzstan's Jalal-Abad region and known as the country's first hydro power plant, the project bears strategic importance in local economic and social development and the enhancement of the wellbeing of the Kyrgyz people. Serving as a flagship initiative in the transformation of Kyrgyzstan's energy sector, the project consists of the renovation of the existing 4×45 MW axial flow slurry unit, augmenting its capacity to 4×56 MW, together with comprehensive restoration efforts.

Since the project's inception, the CNEEC has taken proactive measures and its construction teams have worked together to accomplish demolition and installation tasks with unparalleled speed and precision. Notably, all relevant works have undergone smoothly.

The successful demolition of the first turbine wheel has heralded a new era of energy resilience and sustainability for Kyrgyzstan, reaffirming Sinomach's commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships and driving progress in the global energy landscape.
